How to Crochet a Wine Glass Lanyard

I am very excited to bring you this pattern that I created for an adjustable crochet wine glass lanyard, this can be used for both stemmed and stemless wine glasses with a unique adjustable bottom. If you like wine and you go to wine tastings this is a must have, it allows you to hold your wine glass while having both of your hands free!

I consider this an easy/beginner pattern, there are just a few simple crochet stitches that you need to know which are listed below. Please let me know if you have any questions about this pattern, enjoy, and please share your projects.

LANYARD

Ch 100 sl st ch to 16th sc which is half way around the holder (be certain the chain is not twisted).

R1 – Sl st 1 st to the left, hdc in each chain back to the start of the ch making sure to work on the RS of the chain, sl st to the holder making sure lanyard is not twisted.

R2 – Sl st across the bottom of the lanyard from the inside of the holder, hdc in the top loop of the ch all the way back to the other side of the holder.  Sl st to the holder making sure lanyard is not twisted.

Fasten off, weave in ends.

Ch 80, fasten off ends.  Weave this chain over and under the dc from the first row of the holder, starting and ending at the middle of the holder, halfway between each side of the lanyard.   This will allow you to adjust the bottom of the holder so you can close it up to use if with a stemless wine glass.
